Porsche owners can take advantage of over 80 years combined experience working on this marquee. You can also benefit also from the years of experience and insight Bob gained from racing Porsche cars, such as his 3.0 RSR (see History section) plus the preparation of many customer's cars for racing and club events.

As we are an authorized Bosch Automotive Service Dealer, our technicians are constantly being trained and kept up to date with all the latest technology with training direct from Bosch. We also use the latest 'aftermarket' diagnostic equipment for fault scanning, computer and key coding as well as onboard vehicle diagnostics. BWA auto is a Mobile Signature Service Dealer, and a member of the NRMA, Bosch Automotive Service Dealer Network, IAME (Institute of Automotive Mechanical Engineers) and the MTA (Motor Traders Association).

Engine Work

We take the utmost pride in all of our work, but it is demonstrated more than anything else in our engine rebuilds where our motto is "Do it right the first time". All work is performed in-house. Our capabilities range from crankcase machining and preparation to cylinder-head overhauls - everything to make your engine rebuild just right. We can cater for anything - the only thing we are limited by is your own imagination.

Modifications include, but are not limited to, engine swaps, big bore kits, re-profiled camshafts, fuel injection repairs and servicing (see Fuel Injection Repairs and Service) exhaust systems, extractors, sports mufflers and many, many more.

Transmissions

We provide gearbox preparation from standard rebuilds to racing transmission modifications for high-output motors, LSD installations and custom gearing requirements. There is also the option of using our Transmission Exchange Program to purchase an outright unit.

Fuel Injection Repairs and Servicing

We take great pride in our diagnostic capabilities, which we become renowned for across Sydney. This capability only comes from years of training, which is why we are a member of the Bosch Automotive Service Dealer Network and consider this an important link to the future of the automotive industry. This allows us to maintain the position of constantly being one step ahead of the competition. We also perform on and off car fuel injection cleaning.

Suspension

It is important that your car handles well and with predictability. If you asked Bob, he would say that apart from driver training, this is the next most important issue to address for improving your lap times and enjoying the experience of driving the fantastic car you own. If you can create more control over the vehicle's dynamics, by reducing body roll and excessive movements under heavy acceleration and braking, you will have a car that will be far more enjoyable on the race track.

We can tailor many different suspension systems with options for struts, sway bars, hollow torsion bars, coil over kits and other components on today's markets. To finish the transformation of your car, in our workshop we have our own Beisbath 8-Point laser wheel aligner and corner weighting facilities to give your car the best set-up possible. Steering

We cater for power steering pump and rack overhauls, as well as replacement of all components.

Brakes

After the correct suspension setup, brakes are the second most critical issue when it comes to your car. There are many ways to improve the braking power of your vehicle however one important thing to remember is that your brakes must be tailored to the car. Whilst some systems will work with the most basic change to a larger master cylinder, the best option is to move towards a tandem master cylinder setup to give you more control and adjust the braking bias front to rear. Pre-Purchase Inspections

It is important that you know what you are buying when you are looking for that new dream car. There are many cars out there that are not what they seem and can have problems that you cannot foresee. To give you that extra edge and prevent buying that disaster car, take the worry out of looking for that near new car and let us give you a written report that covers body, interior, engine, transmission, brakes and suspension.

Dyno tuning facilities

At BWA auto, we have immense experience with dyno's. In fact, we were the first workshop in Sydney to offer a dyno suitable for measuring and tuning 4WD vehicles. We can report on horsepower / kilowatt reading's, air fuel ratio and tractive effort - all those important numbers that tell you if your car is running as it's fullest potential. We are Shootout Accredited and can run dyno days for car clubs who want to pit their cars against each other, as well as serving the racing associations requiring cars to be Shootout accredited, such as the Production Sports Car Racing Association of Australia (PSCRAA).
